About Intecca

S&P 500 Website Performance Monitor

What is Intecca?

Intecca monitors the website performance of every company in the S&P 500 index. We measure response times and uptime for all 500 company websites, rank them, and make that data publicly accessible — updated every 30 minutes.

Whether you want to know if a site is currently down, compare speeds across competitors, or see how an entire sector stacks up, Intecca gives you a live, unbiased view.

Why does it exist?

Website performance is a meaningful proxy for engineering quality and operational maturity. The largest companies in America have enormous resources — yet their public-facing websites vary wildly in speed. Some Fortune 500 sites respond in under 100ms. Others take several seconds just to send the first byte.

We built Intecca to make this data transparent, comparable, and useful for developers, investors, journalists, and curious people everywhere.

How does monitoring work?

Our monitoring runs on Cloudflare Workers — distributed infrastructure that checks each website's TTFB (time to first byte) and overall response time on a rolling basis, cycling through all 500 domains every 30 minutes.

For full methodology details, including what we measure, what we don't, and known limitations, see the  Methodology page.

Who's behind it?

Intecca is an independent project. We have no affiliation with any of the companies we monitor. Our measurements are automated and objective — we don't accept payments or sponsored placements of any kind.
